# Area Scenarios

## Hold the Line

Source: Shroud of the Reaper

The middle 12" (6" from each side from centre line scores)

At the end of the game, divide the board into three 2'x1' rectangles straddling the centre line (6" from each side from centre line).

The middle 12" (6" from each side from centre line scores).

Add up the total Unit Strength of each player's units within a rectangle. If a unit is straddling the line between two rectangles it is considered to be in whichever rectangle is covered by the majority of its base. If there is no clear majority, the owning player must choose which rectangle the unit is in.

The player who has the highest Unit Strength in each rectangle controls it.

Victory Points are awarded at the end of the game as follows:

3 Victory Points if you hold the rectangle in the middle.

2 Victory Point for each other rectangle you hold.

## Control

Source: 3rd Edition

No change to scenario from the book

At the end of the game, divide the board into six 2'x2' squares and add up the total Unit Strength of each player's units within a square. If a unit is straddling the line between two or more squares it is considered to be in whichever square is covered by the majority of its base. If there is no clear majority, the owning player must choose which square the unit is in.

The player who has the highest Unit Strength in each square controls it.

Victory Points are awarded at the end of the game as follows:

2 Victory Points if you hold the square in the middle of your opponent's half of the board.

1 Victory Point for each other square you hold.

## Dominate

At end of game, add up the Unit Strength of all your units that have the majority of their footprint within 12" of the centre of the playing area.

Your opponent does the same and you compare scores

Calculate Scoring Unit Strength for each player and add together this is the Scenario Victory Points

Total the Scenario Victory Points for both Players

If the Total Scenario Victory Points is less than or equal to 7SVP together, then Score as per the Victory Points, else

If the Total Scenario Victory Points is greater than 7SVP together and If result was a Draw then both players earn 3VP each, else

If the Total Scenario Victory Points is greater than 7SVP together and If result was not a Draw, but loser got 0VP, then Winner gets 7VP and Lose gets 0VP, else

If the Total Scenario Victory Points is greater than 7SVP together and If result was a not a Draw then calculate the Winner VP minus Loser VP to get the difference in VP

If there is a difference of 1 or 2 SVP then Winner gets 4VP and Loser gets 3VP

If there is a difference of 3 or 4 SVP then Winner gets 5VP and Loser gets 2VP

If there is a difference of 5 SVP or more then Winner gets 6VP and Loser gets 1VP

For smaller games on 4x4 or 3x3 tables, the balancing score is 5

If the Total Scenario Victory Points is less than or equal to 5SVP together, then Score as per the Victory Points, else

If the Total Scenario Victory Points is greater than 5SVP together and If result was a Draw then both players earn 2VP each, else

## Hold the Flanks

Source: Shroud of the Reaper

As per Dominate, but two 12" scoring zones set 12" from the the edges of the centre line

At end of game, add up the Unit Strength of all your units that have the majority of their footprint within each of the 12" circles.

Most Scoring Unit Strength overall wins

## Kill Zone

Source: Shroud of the Reaper

Place 2 objective markers 12" from the table edge along the centre line. Each Score 1VP for controlling it

Kill zones are 24" from the table edge and the area between 6" and 12" from the centre line

Think of them as shrunken Middle Section Control Zones

Box within the Middle 24" section, 12" from centre line to 6" from Centre Line (ie a 6" rectangle just outside the middle Deployment Zone are the Kill Zones

One your side scores 2 Victory Points

One Opponents Side scores 3 Victory Points

Victory Points are awarded at the end of the game as follows:

1 Victory Point for each Objective Marker you Control

2 Victory Points for controlling the Kill zone on your side of the table

3 Victory Points for controlling the Kill zone on the opposite side of the table

## Defend and Invade

Source: Shroud of the Reaper

Each Player starts the game with 6 Victory points each (4 for smaller games).

Yes that’s right, you have the Victory points at the start, but if you can keep them till the end is another matter.

At end of game, add up the Unit Strength of all your units that have the majority of their footprint in the opposing player's half of the board.

Delete this value from the opposing players starting VP, minimum value is 0, no negative values.

Ie if you managed to get Unit Strength of 4 over the line, the opponent loses 4VP from their starting value.

Your opponent does the same

The player with the highest Unit Strength in oppositions half gains an additional Victory Point

## Total Recall

Source: Shroud of the Reaper

Three 3" radius scoring zones inside three 9" radius scoring zones.

To score a zone the majority (more than 50% of the unit) must be within that zone.

A unit cannot contest multiple zones, and if 50% straddling both zones then is counted as in the lower VP zone.

A Zone is controlled by the highest Unit Strength in that zone. The table has a maximum of 9 available VP.

2VP if majority inside the 3" zone (6" diameter)

1VP if Majority within the 9" zone (18" diameter)

Cannot use the same unit to score both zones, you are either in one or the other (If 50/50 between both, then the 1VP zone)

Victory Points are awarded at the end of the game as follows:

1 Victory Point for each 9" zone you Control

2 Victory Points for each 3" zone you Control

Total the Scenario Victory Points for both Players

If there is a difference of 1 or 2 SVP then Winner gets 4VP and Loser gets 3VP

If there is a difference of 3 or 4 SVP then Winner gets 5VP and Loser gets 2VP

If there is a difference of 5 SVP or more then Winner gets 6VP and Loser gets 1VP

For smaller games on 4x4 or 3x3 tables, the balancing score is 5

Total the Scenario Victory Points for both Players

If there is a difference of 1 or 2 SVP then Winner gets 3VP and Loser gets 2VP

If there is a difference of 3 SVP or more then Winner gets 4VP and Loser gets 1VP

## Deep Strike

As per Invade, but the opposite deployment zone scores double the unit Strength

Scoring:

Score the units Unit Strength for your units in opposite half of the table

Score double the units Unit Strength for your units in opposite deployment zone

Most Scoring Unit Strength overall wins

Unit Strength score are Scenario Victory Points

If there is a difference of 1 or 2 SVP then Winner gets 4VP and Loser gets 3VP

If there is a difference of 3 or 4 SVP then Winner gets 5VP and Loser gets 2VP

## Squared Lines

The middle 12" (6" from each side from centre line scores)

At the end of the game, divide the board into six 1'x1' squares straddling the centre line (6" from each side from centre line).

The Square in the centre right of player 1 is worth 2 Victory points

Add up the total Unit Strength of each player's units within a rectangle. If a unit is straddling the line between two rectangles it is considered to be in whichever square is covered by more than 50% of its base. If there is no clear majority, the unit is not in either zone.

The player who has the highest Unit Strength in each square controls it.

Victory Points are awarded at the end of the game as follows:

2 Victory Points if you hold the Square in the centre right of first player

1 Victory Point for each other square you hold.
